A trip round the famous Ring of Steall in the Mamores. Unless conditions dictate otherwise, we will travel in a clockwise direction, negotiating the river crossing at Steall Meadows at the beginning of the day. There are a couple of narrow sections on the ridge, including the ‘Devil’s Ridge’ which is a straightforward walk in summer, but has the potential to be tricky under snow and ice.
Depending on conditions, it may be necessary to carry winter equipment such as ice axes, crampons and wear crampon compatible footwear. If you do not have the equipment necessary, we can arrange hire through Tiso.
For safety’s sake, everyone must be properly equipped for the day; no kit, no walk.
Transport will be available from a central location in Glasgow, at no additional cost.
