The scenic route to the summit of Ben Nevis, taking in the long, narrow ridge walk over the Carn Mor Dearg arete. It’s a fairly long day out, requiring a reasonable level of fitness and at least a basic understanding of walking in crampons and the use of an ice axe. If you’re a complete beginner, this is not really the route for you at the moment.
It will be necessary to carry winter equipment such as ice axes, crampons and wear crampon compatible footwear. If you do not have this equipment, we can help arrange hire through Tiso.
For safety’s sake, everyone must be properly equipped for the day; no kit, no walk.
A lift will be available from a central location in Glasgow, at no additional cost.
